A man’s body was found Wednesday morning inside a garbage cart in the Lawndale neighborhood.

The adult male’s body was found about 11 a.m. in an alley off the 1400 block of South Hamlin, according to Chicago Police.

An autopsy Thursday did not rule on the cause and manner of the man’s death pending further investigation, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office. He remained unidentified Thursday afternoon.

Area Central detectives were conducting a death investigation.
