A male was critically injured in a “construction incident” on the Near West Side, fire officials said.

The male — whose age was not immediately known — was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital Monday evening after a “construction incident” in the 1200 block of West Madison, Fire Media Affairs said Monday evening. He was listed in critical condition.
