Man, 19, shot while riding in vehicle in Humboldt Park

A man was wounded in a shooting early Thursday in the Humboldt Park neighborhood on the Northwest Side.

The 19-year-old was riding in the backseat of a vehicle when someone in another vehicle fired shots at 1:49 a.m. in the 1000 block of North Sacramento Avenue, according to Chicago police.

He was shot in his back and took himself to Norwegian Hospital where his condition was stabilized, police said.

Area Central detectives were investigating.
