A man was shot Friday night in the Galewood neighborhood on the Northwest Side.

The 21-year-old was shot in his lower back about 9:25 p.m. in the 6800 block of West North Avenue, Chicago Police said. He was taken to Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, where his condition was stabilized.

Police said the man was being uncooperative and the circumstances of the shooting were unknown.
