A man was shot Wednesday night in the Back of the Yards neighborhood on the South Side.

The 24-year-old was shot by someone firing from a black sedan about 7:05 p.m. as he walked in the 1900 block of West Garfield, according to Chicago Police.

He suffered a gunshot wound to the leg and was taken to Stroger Hospital, police said. His condition had stabilized.
