A man was shot Friday afternoon in the Washington Park neighborhood on the South Side.

The 26-year-old was walking in the street about 3:15 p.m. in the 5700 block of South Calumet when he heard shots and felt pain, Chicago Police said.

He took himself to St. Bernard Hospital with a gunshot wound to his right hand, police said. He was in good condition.
