Man, 29, shot in Woodlawn

A man was shot Sunday morning in the Woodlawn neighborhood on the South Side.

About 2:15 a.m., the 29-year-old was walking on a sidewalk in the 6600 block of South Evans Avenue when he heard shots, Chicago Police said.

He was hit in the leg and was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center, where his condition stabilized, police said.

Area Central detectives were investigating the shooting.
