A 30-year-old man was shot Monday night in the West Pullman neighborhood on the South Side.

He was stopped at a red light at 9:07 p.m. in the 11900 block of South Halsted when a male approached on foot and opened fire, according to Chicago Police.

The man took himself to Roseland Community Hospital with a gunshot wound to the neck, police said. He was then transferred to Stroger Hospital, where his condition stabilized.
