A man was shot Sunday night in the Washington Park neighborhood on the South Side.

The 33-year-old was walking about 6:25 p.m. in the 5300 block of South Wabash when someone approached him and “a scuffle ensued,” police said.

During the scuffle, the offender pulled out a gun and fired shots, police said.

The 33-year-old was shot in one of his legs and taken to Stroger Hospital, where his condition was stabilized, police said.
