Man, 47, shot in Uptown

A 47-year-old man was shot Thursday night in the Uptown neighborhood on the North Side.

The man was standing on the sidewalk at 9:26 p.m. in the 4600 block of North Malden when he heard shots and felt pain, Chicago Police said.

He was taken to Illinois Masonic Medical Center with gunshot wounds to the right hand and right leg, police said. His condition was stabilized.
