A man was wounded in a shooting early Friday on the border of the Washington Park neighborhood on the South Side.

About 12:35 a.m., the 57-year-old was walking on a sidewalk in the 6200 block of South King Drive when he heard gunshots and realized he’d been shot, Chicago Police said.

He was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center with a gunshot wound to his leg, police said. His condition had stabilized.
