A man was shot multiple times Thursday night in the East Garfield Park neighborhood.

The 43-year-old got into an argument with someone about 8:35 p.m. in the first block of South Whipple, Chicago Police said. During the argument, the person pulled out a gun and shot the man in the chest, arm and head.

He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in critical condition, police said.
