A man was critically wounded early Sunday in an East Side neighborhood shooting on the Far South Side.

The 24-year-old was standing on a sidewalk at 4:02 a.m. when someone in a dark-colored car opened fire in the 3600 block of East 99th Street, according to Chicago Police.

He was shot in the right hip and right arm and taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, police said. He was listed in critical condition.
