A man was shot in a drive-by and critically wounded Sunday night in the Southwest Side Gage Park neighborhood.

At 10:20 p.m., a 21-year-old man was standing on the sidewalk in the 5200 block of South Troy, according to Chicago Police. Someone in the front passenger seat of a grey Jeep driving southbound opened fire and struck him in the back.

He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in critical condition, police said.

The man is a documented gang member, according to a police source.
