A 30-year-old man was fatally shot near his North Lawndale neighborhood home early Saturday on the Southwest Side.

Lamar Watson was standing outside just after 2 a.m. in the 2200 block of South Kolin when someone walked up and shot him in the head, according to Chicago Police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Watson was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he died at 6:30 a.m., authorities said. He lived around the corner in the 2200 block of South Kirkland.

No one was in custody for the shooting Sunday night, police said.
