A man was critically wounded in a shooting early Sunday in the Little Village neighborhood on the Southwest Side.

About 4:30 a.m., the 24-year-old was walking in the 2700 block of West 25th Street when someone shot him in the abdomen, according to Chicago police.

He showed up to Saint Anthony Hospital and was later transferred to Mount Sinai Hospital in critical condition, police said.

Area Central detectives were investigating.
