A man injured more than a week ago in a shooting in the South Side Chatham neighborhood has died.

Quentin A. Thompson, 27, was shot on March 28 in the 8800 block of South Cottage Grove Avenue, according to police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Officers responded about 9:15 a.m. and found him lying on the ground with a gunshot wound to the head, police said.

Thompson, of the 9200 block of South Kimbark Avenue, was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where he died at 11:25 a.m. Friday, the medical examiner’s office said.
