A man whose body was found at an apartment in north suburban Skokie while police were conducting an eviction last week has been identified.

Cook County sheriff’s deputies were enforcing a court-ordered eviction in the 4900 block of Crain in Skokie about 8 a.m. Tuesday when they found the deceased man, according to sheriff’s spokeswoman Sophia Ansari.

Asaf Krasnopolsky, 44, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office. His home address was listed in the same block.

An autopsy has not yet ruled on the cause or manner of his death, according to the medical examiner’s office.

There was no evidence of foul play, and Skokie police continue to investigate, officials said.
