A 38-year-old man was discovered shot to death Thursday morning in a motel room in the South Side neighborhood of Washington Heights.

Kevin Tucker had been shot in the chest multiple times when he was found by police about 2:15 a.m. at Grand Motel, 10022 S. Halsted St., according to Chicago police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Tucker was pronounced dead at the scene 40 minutes later, authorities said. He lived in the Roseland neighborhood.

No one is in custody, police said. Area South Detectives are conducting a homicide investigation.
