A 19-year-old man was wounded in a shooting Monday morning in the Roseland neighborhood on the Far South Side.

The man was sitting on a porch at 10:57 a.m. in the 10000 block of South State when he heard gunfire, according to Chicago police. He then ran inside the home and realized he’d been struck in his hip.

He was taken in good condition to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, police said.

Area South detectives were investigating.
