A man was critically wounded in a shooting Wednesday morning in the East Beverly neighborhood on the Far South Side.

The 33-year-old was sitting on a front porch in the 10500 block of South Vincennes about 6 a.m. when he heard a gunshot and felt pain, according to Chicago Police.

He was shot in the neck and taken in critical condition to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, police said.
