A man was critically wounded in a shooting Wednesday morning in the Far South Side Morgan Park neighborhood.

The 22-year-old man was found lying on the sidewalk with a gunshot wound to the side of his head at 8:08 a.m. in the 1300 block of West 110th Street, according to Chicago Police. He told investigators he had been walking when he heard shots and felt pain.

He was taken in critical condition to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, police said.
