A man was critically wounded in a shooting Thursday afternoon in the Uptown neighborhood on the North Side.

The 21-year-old was arguing with another male about 12:10 p.m. outside in the 4600 block of North Magnolia when shots were fired, according to Chicago Police.

He was taken to Illinois Masonic Medical Center in critical condition with gunshot wounds to the chest and buttocks, police said.
