An Indiana man died after he was shot during an argument early Sunday in the Little Village neighborhood on the Southwest Side, according to Chicago Police.

Rolando Gamino, 30, was in an argument with another male in the 3100 block of South Central Park about 4:20 a.m. when the suspect pulled out a handgun and opened fire, police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office said. He was shot in the chest and taken to Mount Sinai Hospital.

Gamino, of the 5000 block of Baring Avenue in East Chicago, Indiana, was pronounced dead at 9:34 a.m., authorities said.

An autopsy Monday did not rule on his cause and manner of death pending further investigation, accruing to the medical examiner’s office.

Area Central detectives are conducting a homicide investigation.
