Man shot in Austin

A man was shot in the Austin neighborhood Monday evening.

About 5:13 p.m., the 18-year-old was walking in the 6000 block of West Wabansia when he heard shots and felt pain, police said.

He was taken to Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood with a gunshot wound to the buttocks, police said. His condition had stabilized.

According to a police source, the man was not cooperating with investigators.
