A man was seriously wounded in a drive-by shooting Thursday morning in the North Lawndale neighborhood on the West Side.

The 18-year-old man was standing on the sidewalk in the 1300 block of South Lawndale about 10:45 a.m. when shots were fired from a passing gray car, according to Chicago Police.

He was shot in the back, and was taken in serious condition to Mount Sinai Hospital, police said.

The car headed south on Lawndale after the shooting, police said.
