Man shot in Back of the Yards

A man was shot Sunday morning in the Back of the Yards neighborhood on the South Side.

About 5:45 a.m., a person wearing all black clothing and a black ski mask shot the 37-year-old in his thigh in the 4500 block of South Hermitage, according to Chicago Police.

The man was taken to Stroger Hospital, where his condition was stabilized, police said.

Area Central detectives were investigating the shooting.
