A man was shot Friday night in the Greater Grand Crossing neighborhood on the South Side.

The man, 27, was sitting on a porch with a group of friends about 9:30 p.m. in the 7100 block of South Rhodes, when he heard shots ring out and felt pain, police said.

He was shot in the foot and shoulder and taken to Stroger Hospital, where his condition had stabilized, police said.

Police said the man is affiliated with a gang.
