A 33-year-old man was shot in the hand Friday afternoon in the East Garfield Park neighborhood on the West Side.

He was walking about 3:30 p.m. in the 700 block of North Central Park Avenue when someone approached and shot him in the hand, according to Chicago Police.

He was taken to Stroger Hospital in good condition, police said.
