A man was wounded in a shooting Saturday morning in the North Austin neighborhood on the West Side.

The 55-year-old was standing on the sidewalk in the 4900 block of West Crystal just after 10 a.m. when a light brown SUV drove by and someone inside shot him in the head, according Chicago Police.

He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in serious condition, police said.
