A man was critically wounded Friday night in a West Side Lawndale neighborhood shooting.

The 24-year-old was standing in an alley about 9 p.m. when someone in a dark car opened fire in the 1200 block of South Avers, according to Chicago Police.

He was shot in the buttocks and taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in critical condition, police said.
