A man was wounded in a South Shore neighborhood shooting late Saturday.

At 11:16 p.m., the 22-year-old was walking through a lot in the 7100 block of South Yates when he heard gunfire and realized he’d been shot in the right side of his abdomen, according to Chicago Police.

He was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where his condition was stabilized, police said.

A police source said the man is a documented gang member.
