A man was shot early Sunday in the South Shore neighborhood.

The 23-year-old was standing outside about 3:30 a.m. in the 7100 block of South Cyril when a male wearing a black ski mask walked up and opened fire, according to Chicago Police.

The man was shot in the chest and taken to Jackson Park Hospital, where his condition was stabilized, police said.
