A man was wounded in a shooting Tuesday afternoon in the Bronzeville neighborhood on the South Side.

The 19-year-old was walking with someone he knew when he was shot in the back at 2:11 p.m. in the 5000 block of South Indiana, according to Chicago police.

He was taken in critical condition to University of Chicago Medical Center, police said.

Area Central detectives are investigating.
