A 20-year-old man was shot Sunday morning in the West Garfield Park neighborhood on the West Side.

He was inside a vehicle about 5:40 a.m. in the 4400 block of West Monroe when someone opened fire, according to Chicago Police.

He suffered a gunshot wound to his face and was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where his condition was stabilized.

A police source said the victim was not cooperating with investigators, but the shooting was possibly gang-related.
