A man was wounded Wednesday morning in the West Garfield Park neighborhood on the South Side.

The 23-year-old was walking at 10:19 a.m. in the 4300 block of West Van Buren when someone in a dark SUV opened fire, Chicago Police said.

He was taken to Loretto Hospital with a gunshot wound to the leg, police said. His condition stabilized.
