A man was fatally shot on Friday evening in the West Englewood neighborhood on the South Side.

Tomorry Hill, 20, was walking at 4:53 p.m. in the 6600 block of South Laflin Street when a vehicle pulled up and someone inside opened fire, according to Chicago Police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

He was shot multiple times and taken to Stroger Hospital, where he died at 5:39 p.m., authorities said. He lived in the Back of the Yards neighborhood.

Area South detectives were conducting a homicide investigation.
