A man was wounded in a shooting Tuesday night in the West Englewood neighborhood on the South Side.

The 31-year-old suffered a gunshot wound to the groin about 8:05 p.m. in the 7100 block of South Claremont, according to preliminary information from Chicago Police.

The man was taken in good condition to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, police said.

He was uncooperative with investigators and didn’t provide information about the shooting.

Area South detectives were investigating the shooting.
