A man was shot multiple times Friday afternoon in the Austin neighborhood on the West Side.

The 19-year-old was shot in both legs and the abdomen about 1:50 p.m. in the 4900 block of West Kinzie, according to Chicago Police.

He was taken to Stroger Hospital in serious condition, police said.
