A man was seriously wounded in a shooting Monday morning in the Roseland neighborhood on the Far South Side.

The 28-year-old was getting into a friend’s vehicle about 10:45 a.m. when a male walked up and fired at him multiple times with a handgun in the 10700 block of South Prairie, Chicago Police said.

He was struck in the head, chest and body, and was taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn in serious condition, police said.
