A man was shot to death Tuesday morning in the West Pullman neighborhood on the Far South Side.

At 10:33 a.m., Donald Thompson, 25, was inside a home in the 12800 block of South Sangamon when two males started shooting at him, according to Chicago police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Thompson suffered a gunshot wound to the chest and was taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where he was pronounced dead, authorities said. He lived in the same block where he was shot.

Area South detectives were conducting a homicide investigation.
