Man shot to death in Roseland

A man crashed his vehicle after he was fatally shot in the head early Thursday in the Roseland neighborhood on the Far South Side.

Police responded to a call of shots fired in the 10200 block of South Lafayette about 2:35 a.m. and found a vehicle crashed into the side of the garage, according to Chicago Police.

EMS had already arrived and informed officers that 21-year-old Toryius Keefer had been shot in the left eye, according to police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Keefer, of the 11000 block of South Parnell, was dead at the scene, according to the medical examiner’s office.

The vehicle had also sustained gunshot damage, according to police.
