A man was wounded by gunfire from an unknown shooter Sunday morning in the LeClaire Courts neighborhood on the Southwest Side.

At 12:38 a.m., the 28-year-old was sitting inside his parked car in the 4500 block of South Lawler when a bullet whizzed in and struck his ankle, according to Chicago police.

The man was taken to Mt. Sinai Hospital in good condition, police said. No one was in custody.
