A man was wounded in a shooting early Tuesday in the Austin neighborhood on the West Side.

The 21-year-old was walking on the sidewalk when a gray SUV drove by and someone inside fired shots at 12:39 a.m. in the 200 block of North Parkside, according to Chicago police.

He was shot in the right leg and was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital where his condition was stabilized, police said.

Area North detectives were investigating.
