Man stabbed in the Loop

A man was stabbed Saturday night in the Loop.

The man, whose age was unknown, was on the sidewalk when another male stabbed him about 10 p.m. in the 200 block of South State Street, according to Chicago police.

He was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital where he was in critical condition, police said.

Area Central detectives were investigating.
