A 41-year-old man was wounded in a shooting Sunday night in the Austin neighborhood on the West Side.

About 8:30 p.m., he was standing on the sidewalk in the 5300 block of West Harrison, when someone in a black vehicle opened fire, according to Chicago Police. The vehicle then sped off westbound on Harrison.

The man suffered gunshot wounds to his leg and groin and was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where his condition was stabilized, police said.
