A man was shot in a Brainerd neighborhood drive-by attack Sunday afternoon on the South Side.

About 4:40 p.m., the 22-year-old was outside in the 1200 block of West 92nd Street when someone opened fire from a passing car, hitting him in the abdomen, according to police News Affairs Officer Michelle Tannehill.

He was able to get to Little Company of Mary Hospital in Evergreen Park, where his condition was stabilized, Tannehill said.

The shooting was thought to be gang-related.
