A man was wounded in a drive-by shooting Monday evening in the Brighton Park neighborhood on the Southwest Side.

The 22-year-old was walking about 7:35 p.m. in the 3500 block of South California when a dark-colored vehicle pulled up and someone inside fired shots, according to Chicago Police.

He was shot in the leg and taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where his condition was stabilized, police said.

Area Central detectives were investigating the shooting.
