A man was wounded in a shooting Saturday afternoon in the South Side Chatham neighborhood.

The 25-year-old was walking on the sidewalk when he saw a male fire shots at him about 1:35 p.m. in the 600 block of East 76th Street, according to Chicago Police.

He was struck in the left forearm and left thigh and was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center where his condition was stabilized, police said.

Area South detectives were investigating.
