A man was wounded in an East Chatham neighborhood drive-by shooting late Saturday on the South Side.

The 36-year-old was sitting on a porch about 11:25 p.m. in the 7900 block of South Maryland when a vehicle drove by and someone inside opened fire, according to Chicago Police.

The man suffered gunshot wounds to the ankle and arm and a graze wound to the thigh, police said. He later showed up at Jackson Park Hospital, where his condition was stabilized.

A police source said the man is a documented gang member.
